The tlhargh class Bird of Prey is the Bird of Prey vessel first seen in the late 23rd century. The tlhargh class Bird of Prey features one standard photon torpedo tube and one emergency photon torpedo tube, it features two Mark 8 disrupters and a secondary armament of six Mark 6 cannons. The thickness of armor across the ship is two centimeters and the shield system is one-third the power of the larger bI'rel class Bird of Prey. Internally, the deck layout is identical to the bI'rel class, but, as expected, is one-third scale in comparison to the bI'rel class. There are few windows on this ship.

The tlhargh class vessel entered service around 2280, and has remained in service ever since, though in fewer numbers more recently due to its severely underrated armament and defensive capabilities, consigned solely to scout duty and short away missions in connection with a larger mothership. In the 2360s the thlargh class mostly patrolled friendly areas, and was a common sight to Federation Starships during this time. The sheer numbers deployed mean that this design should continue to see service in some form until the turn of the century.
