Lesli Morris was born in what was once one of the major cities of the nation-state of The United States of America on Earth. She grew up in the poorest section of New York City, in the sector formerly known as the Bronx. From an early age, she had the gift of singing, and favored classical music, especially opera. Her father left the family without notice when she was approximately 9 years old, and forced her family deeper into poverty. It was during this time that Lesli began to sing on the streets as a means of gaining extra income for the family, which at that time consisted of herself, her mother and younger brother.

At the age of 18, she was taken into the Juliard School of Music on a sponsorship. She distinguished herself as a top soprano and later began to sing at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City, then around the planet.

In late January of 1999, old Terran calendar, Lesli was transported through a temporal rift created by as yet unnamed entities. She spent the following year and a half at Ten Forward Station trying to adjust to the 24th century and to start her musical career all over. She was successful in securing appearances and recording contracts with several recording organizations. She also learned to pilot a shuttle which she bought with the proceeds from her performances and recording sales.

As a further aid to her adjustment, Starfleet enlisted her as a resident entertainer at Nightwing Station, where she performs several times a week and provides music therapy for patients held for treatment. She continues to present concerts in other locations and upon request.

MEDICAL PROFILE: Lesli is in generally good health, but has had a few injuries resulting from various minor incidents, some possibly due to her diminutive stature.

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE: Lesli has made significant steps toward integration into current Federation society but has the most difficulty with technology, as she did not use computers and related technology of her own time before her temporal jump. She still has feelings of being alone but her recent engagement and hope of successful pregnancy may aid this situation.
